♕│❝is there something wrong?❞ the heir questioned, ebony locks falling to the side ever so slightly as he tilted his head to look at her. once again, he was reviewing the conversation for improvements that could have been made. ❝i’ll give alfred a call in a little while to let him know you’ll be staying,❞ bruce added.
“No, I’m okay.” She should tell him that it’s been a while since she’s even been invited for something as simple as dinner. Or maybe that it’s been so long since she’s really sat down and had a nice dinner with people that she really cares about. Or that care about her. But she doesn’t say that, instead she’ll just offer a soft smile. “That’s awesome. I’m not gonna, be any trouble or anything, right?” She just wants to make sure.
♕│❝of course not, guests are always welcome. i have another friend who enjoys climbing in through the window rather than using the door. it seems… quite uncomfortable but they make it look easy, as that particular friend does everything else,❞ bruce commented with a shrug. ❝in short, you’re no trouble at all by staying here. in fact, i appreciate that you’re choosing to say. i don’t have many school companions that end up coming here. you’re one of the first.❞
♕│❝do you think your family would mind if you stayed for a while?❞ bruce questioned, though there was an element of hesitation just barely present in his words. a split second decision, a luxury that seemed to be growing more rare as of late, was made and he arrived at the necessary verdict, to tell her just what had happened to his parents. but nothing more of what he knew or the kind of strings he’d been tugging to find out the cause. ❝i believe there is a longer conversation to be had, perhaps you could even stay for dinner.❞
“No, they’ll be fine with it. I think they’re working late tonight, anyways.” Which would mean getting food for herself anyways, something that they usually left her money for. Either way, she’ll grab her phone out of her pocket, grimace a bit at the now cracked screen, and give her parents a quick text. Just in case. “Oh, well, yeah, that sounds good. Yeah, we can do that.” Though she was a little worried about what the talk might include, but she still smiles anyways. Just a little.

♕│❝science-y stuff?❞ he repeated and, as he laughed, slight shoulders shook ever so subtly. bruce decided to allow that one to brush off, no matter how she’d hesitated or seemed uncomfortable with the word. perhaps it was simply his own imagination creating something out of nothing once again.
♕│❝well, i hope they like you at this one. you seem like the type that becomes well-known, or “popular”, by the end of the school year. my advice is to make the right connections,❞ he suggested, then shrugged his shoulders simply as if to dismiss his own words. ❝why is it, if i may ask, that you moved here? gotham isn’t… the most safe environment.❞
♕│he opened his mouth to say something again in return but froze and stopped himself. if, at this point, he truly trusted her enough… he had been about to share about his parents. rain was one of the only people in the entire city who had yet to hear, learn, or read about the deaths of his parents. bruce himself felt ready enough to tell her but wasn’t entirely sure if this was the correct time. ❝my father added onto the older home that my grandfather had built. he was ambitious, i like to think. it was a show of power and a demonstration of the growing strength in our family name,❞ he told her slowly, voice suddenly growing far more soft, barely audible toward the end of his statement.
♕│❝alright, i’ll see what we have then. i’m not much of a cook and i’m not sure if we have any LEFTOVERS,❞ bruce informed as he rounded the corner out of the room into the hallway that led down to the kitchen. he returned with a plate of thinly cut roasted chicken and a glass of water. ❝this’ll have to do, i’m sure it’s still perfectly fine tasting,❞ the smaller teen assured with a little smile before he took a seat on the couch across from her, shoulders still straight and posture perfect as practiced for years. ❝so… now you know what my home looks like.❞
♕│❝nobody’s really a fan of mine at the academy, i believe it’s better for you to go in knowing that. i’m not well liked,❞ bruce shook his head, then coming to the realization that he may have made a grave error in giving away his place of schooling. ❝you… you won’t tell anyone, correct? anything of this conversation is to be kept under wraps, just in case.❞
♕│❝wha- how is that possible?❞ bruce looked utterly confused for a moment. he was fully aware of a vast majority of her power and the things she could do with her fire. but this, this he was entirely unaware of up until this very moment. ❝you… it looked like you could’ve DIED earlier, rain. i don’t quite understand how you could have healed so quickly or how it has to do with your abilities. but, thank god. right?❞ he shot her a smile after a beat of silence. ❝previous dangers aside, are you hungry at all?❞
♕│he appreciated the dropping of the previous subject more than she knew. it may not have been exactly UNCOMFORTABLE but it certainly wouldn’t have been too pleasant to discuss in this context. ❝alright, then. just… maybe you could let me know when you DO find out. so you can go in knowing at least one person.❞
my im is always open to both mutuals and non-mutuals
i've been roleplaying for five years, a little more than year here, four elsewhere.
please no godmodding, though it should be a given.
as this blog is selective, i will only be roleplaying with mutuals.this is for my own sanity and to keep an organized blog.
mutuals, go ahead and hit me up with anything, but, everyone please do keep at mind that open starters and starter calls are for mutuals only.
There will be no smut on this blog, as both mun and muse are underage. Anyone who tries to push this rule aside will be blocked and the thread will be dropped.
If I forget to reply to something, simply shoot me a message and I’ll get right on it!
I often to follow back, but I will remain mutually selective. A follow back is not promised.
Sadly enough, due to some slightly annoying stuff, I will be blocking non-mutuals who like my starter calls. I'm sorry, guys!
Mun is a ship lover, if you ship it I probably do too!
MUN ≠ MUSE
If you read through my rules, shoot me a message with your favorite superhero!

PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS.
growing up, bruce was always told that he was the son of thomas and martha. martha, she who was believed to be his mother. but upon his twelth birthday he is told that, in fact, a large majority of his life has been a lie. after he is discovered to have been born the son of athena and thomas wayne, he is sent to camp half-blood, a safe place for children just like him. he keeps to himself and doesn't talk much to the other kids, they don't seem to be very fond of him or how he acts.
