♕┊❝the bag, right, sorry,❞ he had clearly misinterpreted the man’s words. ❝so far i’ve only needed one,❞ he replied with a nod. of course he knew there were different situations and he’d nearly had to fight for himself a few times before, but it had never actually happened. he turned and threw a few punches at the so-called “pear”. he had surprising strength for his size, though that still wouldn’t be called much, but no control. that much was evident in his throws.
♕┊bruce nodded sharply, though not entirely sure if he should throw the first punch due to the man’s size and height. there was a split second in which he contemplated before throwing a punch and immediately ducking to avoid potential blows. when it seemed as though none were coming he stood straight once again, confused. ❝was that all?❞
♕┊❝when tragedy struck i chose not to remain depressed for the rest of my life,❞ came a curt reply, vague and yet explanatory somehow at one time. it was clear that the boy didn’t really want to talk about it. he simply needed a means of self defense after coming to a true realization about the world and how it was in reality.
♕┊❝what is that you’d prefer i call you?❞ the scrawny teen questioned, brow furrowing for a moment.
“Steve” he said as he indicated the boy to put on his gloves. He had the feeling the boy had to learn quick because other kids bully him a lot. “How long have you been training?” He asked curiously.
♕┊❝i haven’t in the longest of times, things have… come up,❞ he replied with a shrug of his shoulders, tugging the gloves on over his hands quickly enough to take the stance that had been taught to him. ❝like this, right?❞
♕┊❝the same goes for you, mr. rogers,❞ he nodded, eternal professionalism returning after a brief break in his usual facade. ❝my butler, alfred, had been trying to teach me some things, so i do know a small number of ways to go about this.❞

after a year of teaching himself his own self-made curriculum, it is decided that bruce needs to go back to school in order to get back into a social setting. precautions are taken and alfred goes to extensive lengths, and so the young teen finds himself as a sophomore at beacon hills high school all the way across the country for the rest of the school year. however small and safe the town may seem, he's in for more drama and trouble than back home in gotham.
PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS.
growing up, bruce was always told that he was the son of thomas and martha. martha, she who was believed to be his mother. but upon his twelth birthday he is told that, in fact, a large majority of his life has been a lie. after he is discovered to have been born the son of athena and thomas wayne, he is sent to camp half-blood, a safe place for children just like him. he keeps to himself and doesn't talk much to the other kids, they don't seem to be very fond of him or how he acts.
YOUNG ADULT.
when the son of gotham becomes a man of his own title, something changes in the city. as CEO of wayne enterprises, bruce wayne takes back the handle on his company and continues to right the wrongs of his employees. with an almost entirely new staff and alfred at his side alterations are made and the family's reputation is pristine once again. but the mind of the young man himself remains poisoned by his own desire to fight back and need to "fix" himself.
